At La Cachette, the chef's wish is for you to enjoy authentic French cuisine at a reasonable price. Therefore, we offer three types of lunch courses. We also have a more casual bento lunch and a ladies' lunch, both of which are very popular. Please enjoy a relaxing and leisurely time.

About the chef

About the chef

Akira Kusumoto

Since the age of 20, he aspired to become a chef. At 33, he moved to France and trained at the two-star restaurant, ESPADON. Upon returning to Japan, he served as the sous chef at the RIHGA Royal Hotel Kyoto and then as the chef and manager at Teppanyaki Aoi.

In 2008, he became the chef at LA CACHETTE.
In 2017, he was appointed Honorary Master and board member of the Japan Teppanyaki Association.

A separate room inspired by a European wine cellar, with lamp-style indirect lighting flickering against the brick and stone walls, creates an otherworldly atmosphere. This space is recommended for those who wish to enjoy a standing party or a meal at a table.

B1F BAR COUNTER

A custom-made counter crafted from a single luxurious plank. Whether for a relaxing time alone, special moments with a loved one, or conversations with friends, this space is perfect for various occasions.

1F TEPPANYAKI COUNTER

A chic counter with a black theme.
Enjoy your meal in a relaxing atmosphere.

The 1st floor is dedicated to teppanyaki, and the B1 floor is exclusively for French cuisine.
Please note that it is not possible to use both floors simultaneously. Thank you for your understanding.

The lantern at the entrance of the building is our landmark.
Please follow the small lantern on the floor and proceed to the basement.

    Approximately a 4-minute walk from Exit 5 of Shijo Station on the Subway Karasuma Line.
    Approximately a 8-minute walk from Exit 19 of Karasuma Station on Hankyu Kyoto Line
  • By Taxi:
    Approximately 15 minutes from Kyoto Station.
    *During peak tourist season, the travel time may double.

There is no guest parking or affiliated parking lots. We recommend using public transportation.

Cancellation Fee

・Up to three days before the reservation: No charge

・Two days before the reservation: 50% of the course fee

・One day before the reservation: 80% of the course fee

・Cancellation on the day of the reservation, with or without notice, will be charged 100% of the course fee (full amount).
If you need to cancel or change the number of participants, please contact us at least one day in advance.
